One person builds this. Sponsorship pays for the Apple Developer Program, the domain, and the hours — nothing else, because there is nothing else.
Support is open.
GitHub Sponsors is the primary channel, with monthly and one-time tiers. If you do not use GitHub, Ko-fi accepts one-off tips through Stripe or PayPal.
What sponsoring does not buy
Worth saying, since some projects blur this:
- No features are gated behind it. The app never checks whether you gave anything.
- No priority support. Bug reports are triaged by severity, not by who filed them.
- No influence over the roadmap. Sponsorship is thanks, not a purchase.
Better than money
- A precise bug report. Steps, what you expected, what happened — with financial details redacted.
- Tell us where the forecast was wrong. That is the hardest part of the app and the feedback nobody else can give.
- Improve the docs. The person who just got confused writes the best explanation.
- Tell one person. There is no marketing budget.
